Artist Refik Anadol

Abstract

Contemporary artist Refik Anadol breaking the boundaries of memories and visual images. For this piece, Anadol works with data taken from the brain when one is thinking of a memory and maps that data into a visual 3D plane. The most spectacular thing about this piece is the crazy visuals that the artist is sculpting based on data.

I get inspiration from artist of the contemporary because they are pushing forward into new art. We humans are able to better understand data with visuals such as graphs but we have never looked at data from memories, like what does this mean or tell us about our brain? With new technological advancements every year people are exploring new ways of creating art. Although I stick with digital art I do try to create works that reflect ideas that haven't been explored before. I do plan on creating more works with new technological advancements like coding in art.
